Word Salad Answer Data and Verification
This page explains which fields are stored for each puzzle, how the public archive is organized and how released answers are separated from unavailable or conflicting records.
What a Puzzle Record Contains
Depending on the mode, a record may include a category, source puzzle number, UTC release date, theme, sixteen-letter grid and answer list. These fields are preserved so a reader can identify the correct board.
Recorded Puzzle Modes
The archive separates named Category packs, Classic, Extreme, Xmas Xtreme, released Daily puzzles and two tutorial records. Source numbers are preserved within their own modes and are not treated as one shared sequence.
Source and Verification
Category, Extreme, Xmas Xtreme and tutorial records are reconciled against extracted Word Salad Android game data. Released Daily records are checked against their dated source entries. The archived answers are recorded puzzle data, not arbitrary words generated by a generic solver.
Daily Release Rules
Daily answers are published only when their source records are eligible for release and complete. Unreleased records are excluded from public answer pages, Finder results and sitemaps. The release date is interpreted in UTC.
Classic Duplicate Reconciliation
Classic preserves five distinct records with source numbers 39 and 114–117. Other uncategorized benchmark records are not republished as duplicate Classic answers when they match Category or Daily records.
What Happens When Records Disagree
Conflicting or incomplete records are reviewed against available source evidence. A missing answer is not replaced with a guess, and an unverified puzzle is not presented as a completed solution.
Current Recorded Coverage
These figures describe the released archive at the latest verified source snapshot. They are generated from the same records used for the answer pages, Finder and sitemap.
